    How long for c20let head removal

    just wondered how long id be looking at taking a c20let head off my cav turbo and any tips? the head gasket has blown

    Soak the turbo bolts in WD40 for as long as possible beforehand. And make sure you tap the socket into them firmly as they love to round. Tap the socket gently onto the headbolts too with a hammer.

    WD40 the torx bolts holding the cambelt backplate to the head as well, they LOVE to round off too.

    Inlet manifold may have a sneaky 13mm bolt/bracket holding it from below

    I could remove c20let head in 1 hour probably less depending on what car it was fitted, they are easy

    cheers guys its staying in the car cav 2wd. all bolts should be fine as its had many new parts and theyve been off before
