Corsa c16xe low power after engine swap

hi all my brother has a corsa gsi which before we bought it had an engine transplant due to head gasket being gone but the problem is what the car now redlines at about 5k and is really really slow no joke 1.2s are quicker it wasnt like this before engine change any ideas? i also think it might be a x16xe now fitted with the c16xe ecu?

Is it in limp mode seen as its not running right? Check engine code see which engine you actually have because if it has a different ecu thats not good either

check top buzz for the paperclip test, running the rong ecu on one of these really wont help!!!

get a proper reading of the ECU it will/should tell you what ECU is in(engine code), and there is a clear difference of engines, you got any pics of the engine its running?

the x16xe is pretty simple in its self, and kick out some good power when running okay.
