Question can a duff OS affect boost? [C20LET]

Can a duff OS affect boost on a C20LET engine?

The reason I say this is because I've noticed on my narrow band gauge, when I floor it it only *just* reads RICH, which suggests to me the OS is not outputting 1v to the ECU. Its about 3 or 4 blocks away from the end. At the moment the ECU is running standard software with standard K16 and max boost is around 10psi (0.7bar). This is about the standard 200bhp mark.

Now when I plug in my EDS Phase3 ECU I can get to about 14psi (1bar) max boost but only achieve 225bhp instead of 280bhp+. With a wide band connected up on the rolling road it shows the AFR to be between 10-11 which to me is fine....but I don't make much more than 225bhp.

The thought now is that ECU doesn't see the wide band but only the narrow band, and I'm wondering if the ECU can't see 1v (rich) from the OS therefore it won't pic out the data from its memory map to make more bhp.

I was wondering what other people read on their narrow band OS at full throttle and who have EDS Phase3 or Vmax Evo5 software.

Once youre WOT you might aswell ignore any narrow band readings.....the ecu does
    225hp.....fly or wheels?

Hmm....forgot about that, it operates at open-loop on WOT, so like you say the ECU ignores it. I know the ECU see's WOT because of the TPS reading I get on my opel-scanner.
Think it was 225bhp at the flywheel....but I do wonder how they calculate it.

...having said that, if it was 225bhp at the wheels then 225/0.8 = 281bhp at the flywheel!
