    vectra clutch

went to sell my vectra today and the buyer tried to get couple of hundred quid knocked off the price due to the clutch being on its way out ( clutch was replaced 18 months ago ) he reckons that the clutch has a high biting point and that indicates the clutch on its way out. he pointed out that on his car the clutch starts to bite as soon as u begin to release the clutch which didnt feel right. there is def no slipping etc from the clutch at all so what i really wanna know is does a high biting point indicate a clutch on its way out?

Not really. It's hydraulic so the bite point is where the system sets it.

Although if there is air in it, you can bleed it and maybe get a better biting point.

Thats assuming there is air in it though - chances are its fine.

If you're happy the clutch is ok, tell the potential buyer to jog on and wait for the next buyer.
