Changing the clutch in a Corsa VXR. Best way to do it?

I have been asked by a friend to change the clutch and flywheel on his corsa VXR.

Just wondering what way is easiest, gearbox out the bottom and leave engine in or take the engine and box out in a one and chnage it then.

I know in my Mk3 LET its easier for me to just drop the engine and box out together.

Are the newer Astra and Corsa VXR's the same?

    Thanks, Craig
