    20xe + kkk16 + motronic

I'm half minded about changing my setups.

Currently running a stock 20let + motronic in my corsa, max 0.9 bar boost.
I'm contemplating rebuilding with forged items and gtr30 or gtx30 with aftermarket ecu, etc..

Now in my Corsa UTE I have a stock 20xe.
Been wondering if I fit the kkk16 + injectors + motronic on there without changing the pistons.
That should be nice and responsive with the higher compression ?
And I should be able to run 0.9 bar as on the let ?

Would propably look at 0.6 or so for daily driving and then fuel mix and 0.9 for drags.

I will say 0,6 bar not more and a very good AFR mate,I also recomand to monitoring the AFR all the time with an wideband kit,the value for the AFR to be something around 11:1-10,5:1 I'd say for safety

I do have a zeitronics wideband that I'm going to fit when I do turbo.
I prefer to know that fueling is good.

0.6 bar seems a bit optimistic?
Will also depend on how good the fuel you're using is - if you can set the car up to run high octane aviation fuels or ethanol/methanol you'll be able to run considerably more boost.

    Thanks for the input Gordo
95 octane is the normal fuel we have here.
0.5 or 0.6 should be strong enough for daily on 95 ?
The motronic can go max 0.9bar without boost cut, so on avgas and toluene 0.9 wil be max.

Just wondering how the motronic will handle the 10:1 compression vs 9.2:1
The knock protection on the motronic is excellent so main concern is fueling.

95 seems quite low for that compression and with significant boost - however, you don't know until you try, do you?
Depending where you are in SA, the ambient temperature will make a significant difference - cooler you can get the charge the better - also, the altitude will make a big difference.
In the mountains, in the middle of Winter and early in the morning should certainly see a significantly higher level than on the Veldt, mid summer in the late afternoon.

If you use a wideband is ok then.About the compression ratio, the C20LET engine has 9:1 and the C20XE has 10,5:1 so the diferences are big and be carefully. You don't have fuel wich has the octane bigger 98 or 99?Also another important thing is to use a big intercooler to cooler the air as much as it is possible, this will also help and it will prevent the detonations.

If you were able to map it then people have ran them upto 270hp(ish) but on generic chips your going to struggle. Response wont be anything like your hoping it to be either. Once youve got all that pipework, cooler etc in place and a severe rstriction in the exhaust you'll loose that......xe feeling.

Sounds like compression is going to be an issue...
What if I use 2 MLS headgaskets ?
That should drop the compression a bit.
