hello just a quickie what would happen if u were to bolt a turbo to a standard engine???

Depends on the engine, the rest of the (external) parts used and the amount of boost.
Many engines will work well with a low pressure turbo', with suitable management, but most will need the compression ratio dropped at least.

What would happen? Probable head gasket failure, possible piston failure, possible con' rod failure, big end bearing failure - lots of things.

I have friends that are planning on strapping turbos to standard engines without any internals changed, all going to end in tears and wasted money. Its cheaper in the long run to buy a complete engine thats made for a turbo in my opinion
