Problem with Vauxhall Astra
i have a problem with my astra 2001 sxi,we have changed the agr,which is what the fault codes said needed to be done and the same one code came up,,,now the engine management light has come on and stays on,there was 4 but now there is only one,,thinking i have to check the ecu wires maybe..has anyone got any ideas or diagram of ecu or any ideas plase

How are you reading these codes?

Was the EGR valve new?

cant remember the code and yes its a new egr

Get the car plugged into a good code reader, and see what error code is now in the system.

ok will do the engine management light is on all the time as well,,but car running smoothly and ok

the code is EGR LOW FLOW..P-0405,,,but like i said its running smoothly

Looks to be a wiring issue.

Could always ask Vauxhall if there are any updates available for the car.

Have you resetted it? Maybe I'm off here as I don't really have any first hand experience with EGR valves, but some management computers need to be taken off battery voltage for a few minutes to erase the codes....

Or better still re set using Tech 2 \ any good code scanner.

Was guessing he'd had the codes reset.
