I am using the SBD 164 kit, with the new loom supplied etc but not quite sure which bits are still needed etc on the old loom so
on a 2000 1.6 corsa sport, when disconnecting the wiring loom that comes out of the top left of the bulkhead, can it be removed from somewhere under the dash or does it have to be cut and tucked away neatly somewhere, also how much of the wiring in the engine is made redundant.
Any help is much appreciated
if its like the othe vauxhalls, the loom that goes to the bulkhead will go to the ecu and there might be 1 or 2 more wire going to other connectors, find the ecu and disconnect it and any other wires then just pass it through the bulkheadand from there you can follow where it goes to, but seing as you have a coplete new setup things like the AFM are not used along with a few other things, just follow the instrctions and see whhat it says
disconnect everything that clips into stuff on the head...injectors, temp sensor, lamba, crank yaadah yaadah
the new loom is all labelled anyway, just plug that in in place of the old loom, but it replaces everything that connects to the ecu (funnily enough)
Hi mate, I have an identical 1.6 sport (1998) and am planning the same conversion early next year when I have saved up the cash. How much does it cost for everything you need (fuel injectors, garkets etc) and have you come across any snags while fitting it. Let me know how you get on and particularly what the performance is like.
