Angry Cav Gsi Xe Engine Running Problem

The XE is running like a bag of old bones at the moment!

Idle when warm is erratic and when clutch is depressed approaching r'bouts and lights it sometimes stalls. If it does not stall the revs drop to virtually nothing and then suddenly pickup up to about 2500 revs before calming down.

Also performance is not great at all. Very lame.

Any suggestions apart from putting the thing in a straight jacket?

    Idle Control Valve?
    Leads breaking down?
    One of the sensors????

    Cheers.

-start by cleaning the idle control valve.
-Check for a fault code to see if its a sensor
-check all your hoses which wont show up as a fault code.

Fault codes are listed in the technical archives on MIG.

Ok, I have not had this car long. Where do I find a fault code?

Sorry for being a bit dumb.
