rgb before you think of going to regal check here
So if i take the cam cover off and rmove the inner plate and remove all sealant. Then drill the holes as shown in the guide. How far away fromt he edge do i need to do them.
Also how is the plate fixed on? When i have finished drilling the plate will i need more sealant to put it back on?
Please help i intend on trying this at the weekend.
Regal said this: -
"It is not just a case of drilling holes in the plate, we actually have to
modify the breathing system, which is why it is £90."
What does this mean?
lol i just took a 150degree steam cleaner to the sealant
p.s. anyone got a spare 2.0 16v cambelt cover?
plate is fixed by short torx or crosshead screws - they have thread lock on em so you'll need a good fitting driver.
just keep the holes a few inches down from the main breather exit and you'll be fine.

For the Mod I would say £90 is a con as I have no idea what else would need done as drilling cured mine 100% and I thought the problem was very bad.
I did 4 rows of 3 so that they were not all cramed in I did the first row next to the wee pipe b4 the fins a row between the first set of fins one row between the two sets of fins and the last one between the last to fins (this will make sense when u see it). I used sealant when I put the plate back but I dont think u realy need to?
Never get an EGG credit card they do nothing to protect you if your card is subject to Fraud!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Regal? When we went to thre rolling road day in jan or feb this year it seemed to me that all the time they were trying to seel stuff to people. Car would go on the rollers and you got acomment like "this car needs a FSE valve" "If you like we can sort out your actator as it is shaggeged out" "you need a new chipin there as the one you got is no good", only my opinion. Good salesmen.
If somone tells you that they will have to cary out further work to your car to justify a cost then you as the owner have the right to know exactly what work is to be carried out. If they do not want to tell you the *uck em.
