Hey. im trying to get my car running tonight for a meeting tomorrow.. any helpfull input welcome..
Well as you may have heard, my boost controller board that was supplied with my kit was knackered, it caused my car to idle at 3,000 revs and then fluctuate all over the place..
My replacement board didnt arrive today, so gav told me how to re-wire the origional,,
He said all i had to do was connect the far right wire of the middle row of pins, to the third pin in from the right on the top row... easy i thought... so i pulled the board out, and found the "second" pin in from the middle had been bridged to the "fourth" pin in on the top.. i tried to ring gav, but coudnt get hold of him, so assumed that whoever repaired that board (not gav) had put the bridge on the wrong wire, so i removed it, and positioned it on the right pins..
Put it all back together.. turned the ignition on... and my amal valve started to click away like a dodgy relay... i tried to start the car, and it runs perfectly, idles a treat...
So in short it has fixed one problem but caused another. Is the board more knackered than i thought and needs replacing? or should i have left this origional bridge in place as well as the new one i put on?? Please help, i cant get hold of gav or russ tonight
