Help dropped speedo gear inside f28

Tried doin speeso cable today and the bit on the box was nackerd so removed but as doing so the inner peice about 4mm diamiter and the worm gear fell into box now
Im just left with the large plastix
Housing

Will it damage box or will gears just crunch it up engine and box are coming out in november rather not have to do box now and again in 2 months

Try shaking the box upside down lol. I wouldn't try and crunch it up though.

Ye mate the long thin shaft with gear , cant really shake havent got
Hydraulics lol i was hoping
It would be sitting in the bottom
Of box and maybe get it it via the drain hole? As there is no acess plate like there is on the f20 need help quick

Similar thing happened to me mate. Its still in the gearbox, no signs of damage haha

the worry you have is that diff crown wheel runs half submerged in the "sump" of the gearbox, so its always frapping gear oil everywhere and statistically the gear might one day follow.

the diff housing is also shared with the gears on F28, so double jeopardy. F20/F16 the diff is in is own housing separated
