have a c25xe in my cav and just came across a cheap x30xe from a omega just wondering will my heads from the c25xe fit the x30xe or am i better just staying with the heads that r on it.

best thing to do is use the 3.0 block with its own heads. swpa the sump and oil pickup and inlet of the 2.5 onto the 3.0

    Re: c25xe and x30xe.

im just going by putting like a 1.4 head on a 1.6 block will raise the compression and if im right should be quicker.
im not to technically minded so if anybody has put 2.5 heads on a 3.0 and recieved no problems and more power would be nice to no.

dont bother just swap all the c25xe stuff over to the x30xe the c25xe managment works fine, depending on how much of a challenge you fancy these can be turbo'd striaght or getting other bits and even twin turbo them.

    Re: c25xe and x30xe.

I wouldn't bother doing the head swap, pointless, there will be no gain ( and probs ). As stated, use the complete x30xe engine and use all the c25xe ancillaries, sump, pick up pipe etc and build a 3.0 C25xe, all you need is a 3.8 bar fpr, available from vx for £25, the standard ecu etc will cope fine. it is also possible to use a single low blow turbo set up from a saab on these that feeds the front bank, tbh it's easier to use a complete saab lump and ecu if going down that route........... complete saabs are available for about £500.......... B308 is the engine code iirc?
