I started my car yesterday and it was idling all over the place. Then after almost stalling the revs shot up really high and stayd there. I hadn't touched the throttle pedal at all. When I floored the throttle, the revs just stayed at a higher level than before.
I switched the engine off and restarted and it was fine.
When it's just ticking over, the revs go up and down a little bit which i think is quite strange.
Is there some kinda chip in the engine which sets the idling speed which could have fryed or something??
Apreciate any suggestions.
