hi brian no i woz thinkin bout takin them of and keepin them 4 when i do my corsa 16v conversion after xmas cos this scrappy is really cheap and full kit would prob only cost like £20. so would the injection system be suitable
sorry brian i asked the wrong question wot i should have asked woz can i use the feul pump/tank and lines of this injection sr for my conversion coz ur guide said use gte/gsi lines etc but i woz wonderin bout these
brian i think were both gettin a bit confused here so back 2 the original question.
i drive a mk1 1.2 carb and in the next few months am goin 2 convert 2 a corsa 1.6 16v gsi engine. wot i want 2 no is as i have 2 put an injection system in 4 conversion which means high pressure lines and pump and tank can i take the fuel lines/pump/tank off the injection sr i have found in my local scrapyard and plump them up 2 the injection on corsa engine as they will b cheap and means another few less things 2 find in the coming weeks.
woz on about this on a different site earlier, sr's were never injection which means it has 2 b a conversion job and as it is a jetronic injection system it means it prob either a gte or gsi conversion.
I doubt it, the irmscher injection stuff sticks out a mile. If they are copper pipes, then they'll be fine, as will be the fuel pump attached to them. So use them. If they are simply rubber/plastic pipes, then they are not high pressure, so don't bother getting them.
Thats only suitable if you mount the fuel pump in the engine bay.
