1.7 cdti timing belt - recomendations

Hi, my 1.7 cdti mk4 van is due a timing belt soon, So checking out whats needed/involved.

Im going to get the timing belt kit, a water pump (take it this is recomended?) And will give it a service while im there.

Are there any special locking tools, or hints i need to know? (or am i easier taking the hastle free option of buying the parts, then putting it to the local garage and paying a few hours labour)

The 1.7 cdti engine is not chain driven that's the 1.9cdti fiat engine also you dint need a new water pump as that is run off the aux belt few drill bits will be needed to lick fuel pump and cam al take a picture of my auto data book and send it to you if you got a email there easy to do

Ive got the TIS manual with all the technical data for the timing belt stuff on the 1.7 CDTI Gary. I used it for putting the bang bus back together when I first got it. The Belt is a skoosh as the pullys all have locking points, all you need is some M6 Screws from what I remember. save the cash.. I'll send the Drawings over ASAP once I find the disk.

Cheers for the task description, tho they make it sound over complicated. Pics would be great!
