    What engine?
Pop the bonnet. Take a look.
Think you will find its chain driven but again please take a look.

    Now i'm lost.
If you have a plastic cover, its going to be a belt.
If doesn't have one its going to be a chain.

    A Z18XE is a 1.8 engine, not a 1.2.

    Z12XE looks like this:-

That a chain driven engine. No cam belt.

The aux belt you can see will only need changing if it looks worn, although they are only about a tenner.

it is a belt not a chain, if the water pump has broke and the timing belt has come off then it has bent valves.

did the belt slip off the water pump? if it did then the valves will be bent,

you'll need to have the valves re-seated have the head skimmed and have new head bolts and a new gasket. i would use a new timing belt kit with a new water pump.

then there is the oil filter, oil and antifreeze! may aswell chuck a new set of plugs in it as well.

it depends on what happened, does the car run at the moment?
