Flashing Engine Management Light?
Hi all blew me gearbox up friday night, so decided to drop the 1.6 8v lump and box in.
Transplant gone all good except it turning over but not starting now, it was a mint 79k running lump before removed with full loom by my self.
Noticed the Engine Management Light is flashing? It wasn't before on either car either.
Any idea's ppl?

Re: Flashing Engine Management Light?
will check in sec for fuel and spark,
got funny feelin it could be a chip fault.
was a 1.4 8v, swapped for 1.6 8v, loom and ecu changed, normal key kept 4 ignition.
everything doin as it should

Re: Flashing Engine Management Light?
Change the chip in the key itself. the new ecu isn't recognising the old key.

Re: Flashing Engine Management Light?
Yep flashing ecu light is immobliser activated. You need to have the chip transponder and ecu from the same engine, you can't mix and match from different engines. If the cars been crushed then your pretty ****ed. Two options, get a ecu transponder and chip from another car. Or go to Vauxhall and get your key re programed. But they normally pull your pants down.
