c20xe Rev Limit

hi iv got a c20xe in my corsa and iv never found out what the rev limit is. Anyway its been off the road now for about 6 months and the other day i thought id started it up for a while, after it warmed up I revd it and the rev limit is about 4600??? is that normal i thought it would be much higher than that!
Theres nothing wrong with it and it drives fine.

P.S. rev limit should be around 6800 or something on standard xe

Either the tacho is faulty, set to 6 cylinder or the car's in limp mode!
Check it against an induction type tacho that clamps on a plug HT lead and go from there.

all depends on which clocks you have in it.Mine limited at 4500 with the 1L clocks in,but it revs much higher scince i put 14 sport clocks in it.

not sure wat clocks are in mine they have 140 mph i think its the gsi ones

Yeah the 140mph are gsi clocks, iv got the 130mph which has electric speedo. I have got sum gsi clocks and cable I'll give them a go see if they give a different reading.
The only reason I kept the 130mph clocks is because they have White dials

lol mine started with 130 mph clocks but kept snappin the cable when it was on the track or the 1/4 mile lol
