Vectra C 1.8 petrol, What gearbox??

Hi all
A mate has just nabbed a 2003 black Vectra C for £300 with a blown gearbox

Cant find the code on the box but i think its an F17

Can anyone confirm this?

Not sure on the C but the B came in two different 1.8 engines, smallblock and big block. This will obviously affect what box it runs
