I have an X reg Vectra SRI 140. It's done almost 130k.
When driving it feels sluggish and not wanting to rev. It'll hit 4.5k and just feel like a rev limit. It's gone past a few times and it pulled all the way, but it's only happened about 4 times and i've had it almost 2 weeks.
Any ideas why?
I have changed the Air Flow Meter, cleaned the EGR as a new one is over £100. I have given it a full service. There is NO warning light on.

That sounds like a cam sensor fault or coilpack. Try the cam sensor first they always fail!

We all thinking Cam sensor then? I'll look into getting one of them 1st. Are ebay ones good enough?

I've not had chance to buy a new sensor due to going away for 3 weeks, but the car is also stalling a lot.
Is this also down to the cam sensor?
That will be the Idle control valve causing the stalling...total nightmare on the Eco's. You can remove them and clean them but they dont last too long. Probably better off buying a new one.
It's going into limp home mode. Don't mess about guessing, just flash the codes out. Either short pins 5 and 6 in the diag plug and switch ign on, or hold gas and brake to the floor and switch ign on and count the ECU light flashes.
Very likely a cam sensor playing up.
They're there, in their room.
cat blocked? had it happen more than once, same symptoms wouldnt rev out fully, sluggish
the old xev in my cav wouldnt rev past 4500rpm and it turned out to be the cam sensor
