My 4x4 light is continually on, can I disconnect it without removing the dash? I have an MOT comming up and don't want any silly misunderstandings as it looks a bit like an ABS light.
I have removed the 4x4 sphere and control unit, connecting the power steering hose straight through. I shorted the two pressure switch connections together (this stops the 4x4 light from flashing and it now stays lit). I could remove the bulb from the dash, but according to the hayes manual I should remove the steering wheel (and air bag) first! Bit of overkill... I want to fix the 4wd using new parts eventually.
Yes, the car does skid whenever I boot the throttle. It has been a great car, nearly 60K miles of hassle free performance for me. Now it is 2WD I know exactly how much better the 4wd was...
I get my Mobil 1 Fully Synthetic for 29 Euros (19 quid or so) a 4L can from Auchan in St Omar, France. Has anyone found it cheaper???
