go to a motor factors and get them to check the thread spec for your filter i have fitted renault small filters in the past a quick check in the filter book will tell you, best to be 100percent on thread size:nod:
Cheers guys, I just wasted £8 on a Punto 1.8 HGT filter on the promise it would fit (from JBI motorsport, who sold me the sandwich plate in the first place without saying it doesn't fit a Cav/Calibra with an oil cooler )
Getting proper pissed off now lmao I've come through some real ballaches with this project and now im stuck on a sodding oil filter lmao
60mm or less ideally. I'll probably end up "modifying" it with a lump hammer anyway to avoid potential driveshaft collision
The Dude at my local motorfactors is mint, nip down here with the plate and he will find something no doubt if you have it narrowed down to a few options!
So it is a standard Vauxhall fitment on the new plate?
Remind me, why can't you simply use the big M22 nut on the back of the oil pump?
My Defi oil pressure sender is similarly sized to your own & fits there comfortably.
You can use the m22 blanking plug for your oil temp sensor, and VDO do an 0-5 bar oil pressure gauge that will work with the standard oil pressure sensor.
Thanks guys I'll report back with pics, measurements and confirmed part numbers
