The cams I'm in the process of buying have their peek power at around 8100-8200rpm, so a rev limit of 8500rpm would be ideal.
I've located some second hand steel rods for my engine. They are by a company called Farndon who at the moment have a questionable reputation, but I don't think this reflects on the quility of their products.
The guys is asking £400. considering this is without rod bolts I will offer £300 if I go for them.
Considering these are second hand, do you think this is worth it? They cost £681.80 new and there is a long waiting list. Also, Farndon ones are the cheapest, so if I went for another brand, I'd be looking at £800+
The main consideration is whether this is too much money to spend on something that is second hand.
The other option is the leave my rods standard and stick to the 7750 rev limit - but I'd be loosing performance....
