    peirburg carb info??

    as above please i am looking for info on this carb , i no there a heap of ****e i am saving up to get a 32/34 weber conversion
    mean time i want to get this running right, ill start with which pipe goes where??
    i no meself 1 goes to destrubutor, 1 goes to the vacuumed 2nd choke which is now dis connected and working manually
    does anyone no where as far as i can see wat the other 3 pipes do??
    big one at the back of the inlet, one above that in carb itself and then the 1 out front
    any help would be great thanks lads paddy

    They're not a heap, people just don't bother to research enough and write them off because they don't know anything about them. The VW boys have researched them and got the nfo needed to keep them adjusted and the auto chokes working.
    The thing at the front with the 2 pin plug on has a vacuum pipe to the diapram opposite which is the choke pull down, them from this into the carb itself. The choke pull down is nearly always the reason the auto choke doesn't work correctly. With the engine stone cold, prime the choke as normal, start it and the choke should open to about 5mm I think. Normally it doesn't and there's a hole with a allen headed screw just behind it to the front left as you face the carb, use this to adjust it. Must be done with the choke operating, i.e. cold engine. I adjusted mine on my 1.3 and it's on 204k now and still goes well, even during the winter.

    i got my carb somebody had the cold start choke gone, i cant get info anywhere people just keep telling me to throw it over the hedge, i just want to get it running right alot of the pipes on mine are blocked off as far as i can see theres two pipes actualy doing something, the other 3 are blocked??
    ye got any pic s ye could throw up too of a few?
