corsa redtop getting fuel but no spark

My Corsa redtop with late c20xe dispak engine wont start after conversion. I have connected loom colour for colour, switch live is routed back in car and connected to thin black on corsa plug. Ignition lives connected straight to battery positive. When ignitions on eml is on so ecu as power also fuel relay clicks and it also clicks over and over when cars cranking over. Theres fuel pressure in fuel rail so it getting fuel as ive checked also by disconnecting fuel line and checking fuel sprays out on engine cranking. So far i have changed dispak and crank sensor and still no spark dispak as 12v live at center pin on connecter just not getting spark through leads. Also when i fitted engine i realised ignition module was missing along with metal t plate bought one off ebay and fitted that when engine first went in car. Corsas a 99 1600 sport if thats makes any difference and engine came from 94 calibra.

what about key chip/ecu/transponder?? also when i wired mine up i thought i had a sw/live but it was not?? so i tryed another black and bingo it was alive..hope this helps.

well there is red and black wires left unused on corsa plug in foot well after all wires are connected. I have put my switch live to black and just blanked red off so it cant make any contact with anything. Which black wire u wire ur switch live to mate?? also a immobiliser came with engine i wire it back up and it just cuts fuels off until key chips read and then eml comes on and i have fuel again but no spark so i guess thats just bin tackle as it cant be any use lol.

i just found one behind the fuse box and spliced on to it. put a meter on the spare black you have, just leave the meter (red on black then black to body) and turn it over.

So i should connect switch live to red left over on corsa plug. Also what u mean put a meter on black wire on corsa plug.

So i should connect switch live to red left over on corsa plug ..NO.. sorry the red wire and black wire on your meter (red meter wire on the spare black wire on the corsa then the black meter wire to the car body and that should complete your circuit) and turn it over. if you get 12v on the turn of the key job done, then check the black wire you have wired in to see if that one is a sw/live.

r8 so connect black on corsa plug to red on volt meter then connect black from volt meter to body. then just tape red up so it insulated on corsa plug.

Got you now mate ill give it a bash tomorrow if i have 12v at turn of key i have a switch live. Also if it is a switch live then this is where i already have switch live wired to as i routed it from xe loom back into car and have it connected to this already. Whats my problem going to if im already wired into switch live?

if you have fuel pressure and the engine is turning over, it could possibly be a crank or cam sensor.
If these fail it will cut the spark.

Already changed cranks sensor other day pal and no change still no spark. I cant see anything been up with new 1, its brand new and worked when we tested it on my mates redtop just to make sure it wasnt faulty. Not changed the cam sensor tho yet so ill give that a try also. Gunna make sure i have ignition live wired into switch live first tho but im pretty certain it already is. Ive also got a new ignition amplifier which i need to pick up thursday, one i currently have could be fautly as it was from ebay used.

black wire on corsa plugs a switch live pal, already have ignition live wired too it tho which points me to the problem been else where.

Still no spark changed everything now new ignition module, cam sensor, crank sensor. Check all wiring and cant find a single problem. Anybody have any ideas what is wrong with my redtop corsa really getting mad lol been off road a month now. Thanks Adam

on my x20xev corsa which wires up basically the same i put the red wire (12v) straight to the battery and the black (switch 12v) to one of the black wires on the ignition switch the rest was just colour to colour, another thing aswell, on mine there was an unused plug on the engine loom, is there any on yours? on mine it was a big grey plug with 2 wires on it, a live and a switch live, once they were connected up correctly it was ok

All connecters are connected, all wirings colour for colour eml comes on with ignition which suggests ecu as power. Got fuel pressure in fuel rail changed dispak, cam and crank sensor along with ignition module and still no spark. Im litrally pulling my hair out nearly ive been tryin to solve this problem at least just over a month and still not got anywhere. Im seriously just beginning to think i should give it up as a bad job. Do later dispak engines have immobilisers as i got chipped key and barrel with engine, also an after market immobiliser as it had a serperate chip in the style of like a keyring. i have already wired this up to car and all it does is cut fuel off. Ecu code is pt and engine was out of a 94 se2 calibra.

Vauxhalls that have immobilisers that I have worked on in the past will have the EM light flash when you try to start the car if the chip/transponder/ecu are not all correct.

Also dont think they will turn over.

At the point your at, I'd check each sensor is getting power.
From the ecu one of the pins powers up all the sensors.
Find this wire and it will split and go to all the sensors.
Trace each of these to each sensor connector, then either com check it, or with the ignition on check for a 12v live.

Right well eml does not flash when i try to start it just stays on whilst cranking. i have checked dispak, cam sensor, and ignition module to see if they are live when ignition is on and they are. Dont think crank sensor becomes live until engines started but i may not be correct on this one. i just know there is no live feed to it when ignitions on but then again there are no breaks in wires going to crank sensor as ive run a live through them from ecu end and checked 12v was reaching connecter end in engine bay.
