RS1, any idea where to get good quality resonators then please? I'm hoping that just adding a good middle section will quiet it down a lot!

Most exhaust manufacturers will have a resonator design on just about any non straight through silencer, they also have the added glasspack so kinda killing to birds with one stone. Other that that a good exhaust company will just knock them up....in pipe, varying the size creating a chamber which will(depending on its size and shape) change the note of the exhaust. Those are the best if youre struggling for space as theyre often not much bigger in diameter than the system.
What you might find with adding a middle section is that the noise will reduce slightly but it'll start to.....drone in car After a motorway journey you ears will be ringinglmao

    A Calibra or two

Re: noise levels/sound of 3" on box system?

    here's mine* at idle:
YouTube - Defi Fuel & Boost pressure gauges on Calibra Turbo

    and being thrashed:
    YouTube - Calibra Turbo 0-160 kmh 0-100 mph : 12.0s

TBH in the 'thrashing' video it sounds far tinnier than is the case in reality - more to do with cheap camera/ youtube encoding. However good indication of overall loudness, lol.

    Right...update..

Got mine sounding exactly how I want it now.

I know you all hate them but I have a friendly Powerflow dealer just down the road...

Ended up installing the biggest silencer we could get under the car, now sounds fapping awsome! and much quieter than before......

I must say the GT3071R is an awsome turbo, running 11psi it feels much quicker than my previous KKK hybrid that was running 22psi.......

    Loving the 3" exhaust!!

I had a 3" straight threw exhaust with a pretty big backbox on my old cav turbo, it had a T28 turbo and wasn't that loud at all really, obviosely was when you booted it but just driving normally it was fine.
