Question Strut Brace for MK3 Astra turbo (200ts)

    Hi

As you are aware i'm from South Africa & own a 95 Opel Kadett 200ts.. I would like to fit a top strut brace but none is the brand name types( Sparco;OMP; Eibach) not freely available locally will fit my car without touching the black "turbo cover".. From the pics i've seen most of the owners with MK3 turbo astras have cut there cover..
I"ve seen struts brace that runs across the tappet cover but the "turbo cover" has been cut.. also seen going behind engine (mostly left hand drive pics) then also "turbo cover" has been cut..

Is there not a strut brace available that will go over the "turbo cover" ( is the clearance between the bonnet & "turbo cover" big enough????..

My last resort is to have one made up from a pic & try & get another black "turbo cover" ( which almost impossible to get a used one) & then cut it..

I would appreciate it if you can posts pic of MK3 turbo astras engine bays with strut braces so that I can get an idea of how it should look..

    Thanks

    "Turbo" cover cut

on the pic one can see that the "Turbo" cover has been cut..

Can it be that in UK & Europe the was never a facrory produce M3 Astra with a C20LET engine therefore the "Turbo" cover has to be cut to make a strut brace fit correctly on the cars????

You are correct. South Africa was the only country to get a Mk3 Astra with the C20LET. Only the Cavalier and Calibra got the C20LET as standard across here.
Couldn't think of anything good to put in here.
