As some of you may have noticed, I've always suffered from hesitational problems with my 20XE engine.
I've swapped/checked everything and its all ok.
However - a couple of questions -
1 I know for a fact that I have excessive valve stem/guide & stem seal wear. The head's coming off over winter for a full rebuild.
2 The plugs are grey with heavy 'frosted like' deposits.
Is it possible that the plugs are white because of air leaking into the cylinder through the valve guides, explaining the weak mix & hesitation/lack of power?
I appreciate that the Lamba sensor would attempt to richen things up - but the air mass meter would be disagreeing!! Again, explaining the hesitation.
I have no other air leaks.
Am I onto this or totally wrong? Your thoughts please!!
