I have a cunning plan to use a Cally Turbo for racing.
Problem is... The regulations allow only for 2 wheel drive.
Sure I could do a FWD conversion. Deal away with all components related to the 4wd and the car would be lighter, too.
But I really don´t want to be putting 250-300bhp into the ground using front wheel drive.
So what are the odds that I can make up a reliable, working rear wheel drive system?
I figure, if the gearbox is modified so that the front axles run free, and the TXB is modified to be completely locked (no viscous) I effecftively have a RWD car.
Am I insane or could this actually work?
