I posted a thread a few months back regarding pinking & the general consensus was that it's a typical noise the valver makes.
However, I have been driving very steady as the clutch is on the way out and the "pinking" is very noticeable. So much so, I am convinced it is actual pinking.
Does this mean that the knock sensor is buggered? I'm a bit confused as I'd expect the management light to come on if there was a problem. Is there any way to check the knock sensor?
Or, could something else be worn to affect the timing?
