    Cool C20 XE Removal probs!!

Okay dudes, i just bought meeself another XE lump at a good price but the thing is i cant get the old bastid out.

Everything is removed but i can get the shaft out from the gearbox, you know the one where you need a 12 spline bit.

Is it possible to remove the engine with takin the box aswell?? I dont want to have to pull the shafts out then need to get box oil too.

    Any ideas much appreciated!!!

yeah lift the lot out. you can also leave the smaller shaft in the box (take it out the hub obviously)
it all comes out nicely, just needs 2 people to guide it out safely.

I beleive you can use one of the ten mil bolts and screw that into the input shaft to withdraw it mate easier to leave the box in.

Yes but you dont lose gearbox oil by removing that

naa, you dont need no fancy tools, just remove all the bolts that hold the box tho the block and there a stabilizer that goes feom the driver side shaft the to block also, remove that, then its just a matter of prying the box and block apart with a crowbar or similar slowly, jusr do a bit at a time moving round the casing and it will pop out
