after a recent scavenge at the local scrappers i got some bits to tidy up my engine bay, cheif among them a lovely set of red triple silicon champion leads.
now i realize that the benefits of replacement leads do not justify their huge price tag which is why i was so glad to get some for nothing. them main reason i wanated them is to tidy the engine bay up and they look a lot nicer than crappy halfords ones.
i just wondered, is the only difference between leads on different engines the way they connect, just wondered cos mine came of a late 1.6 cav???
also as i was fitting them i pulled of one of the connectors (spark plug end) what i want to know is can i re crimp them back together ?? are there any specific ways to do it???
has any one got any tips on changing disks on the front (ate) calipers
cos ive lost my haynes manual and cant remember what turque wrench settings for caliper bolts, and if lock tight is used,or is it best to replace them???
i replaced the pads and just did the sliders up as much as poss by hand as i dont know the settings.............any info.
pretty simple stuff i know, but i just wanna get it right.
