cone filter versus panel filter

what does everyone think about air filters? am i better using a panel or a cone on my 2.2 coupe?

a decent panel filter will improve breathing as much as a cone filter, but cone filters give that distinctive induction noise, so depends on if you like it noisy or not really

Cones work well on 8valves, don't work on 16v's as they suffer too much heat soak (unless your doing 80 on the motorway in winter). Thats from my experience anyway.
