    Fuel problem help!!!

    Right cant get the fuel system to prime on the car at all been at it for weeks now...first off all pipes are correctly connected up tried them the other way round to, to no sucess, fuel pump is fine is not faulty, all the lines are clear with no blockages or snags or crushed or squashed lines, fuel relay is fine and clicks as it shud on inital prime, injector is fine as tested it, really really baffeled by this.... any ideas welcome as a dnt fancy doin it the oldskool way by puttin a teaspoon of petrol down the inlet to get it to firelmao

    Have you checked it's actually getting a voltage across the pump when the engine is cranked?
    have you checked there's actually fuel in the tank.
    Have you checked there's not a blockage in the tank part of the fuel pickup line?
    have you checked it hasn't rusted out the top of the tank in the area where the line goes in (been a couple of cases where it's rusted through and sucked air instead of fuel).

    yep checked the voltage thats spot on, theres 3 quaters of a tank of fuel, theres no blockages in any of the lines or the the intank lines theres no rust on the tank as its a brand new one and no rust on the tank lid were the fuel lines connect.......this is why am stumpt av checked everything time and time again pulled it all apart and rebuilt it several times to check for things and theres nothin that appears wrong it should in theory be fine

    Some types of fuel pumps need to be primed to work properly - not sure about yours but may be worth trying.

    lol thats the thing to prime it its several rotations of the pump before u turn the ignition to fire the engine, think am gonna have to do it the oldskool way :S lmaolmao

    I mean some won't work well if they're dry, positive displacement pumps are generally fine but a centrifugal type needs fuel in it, first, for it to work.
    Seems you've covered the other bases so offering that as a long shot.

    BTW, don't forgett o be VERY careful with petrol and sparks - been burned and don't recommend it, even if the scars were sorta cool!

    think al have a look into which type it is sounds like it could be the second type

    , am always carefull with fuel thanks for your concern thou was in a bad accident a few years back were the tank split and covered myself an my friend who was the driver in fuel, after he miss judged a bend (at 70ish) clipped the curb on the oposite side of the road took out a concrete lamp post and ended up 40 feet from the road in the car on its roof, dont speak to the guy now as he thought it was funny .... I didnt

    al have a look in the mornin, car battery is on charge at the mo
