ok, heres the picture, i've just got hold of a 16v stainless exhaust system for my belmont. now i know that its too short but i've got an extension piece made to lenghten the back box joint. my problem is the gear linkage. on my 8v the gear lever comes through the floor and the rod connects to the gear linkage on the back of the box and the exhaust has a kink in it to avoid this. however the stainless exhaust is straight and when i was removing the rear beam from a 16v, i noticed that the gear linkage goes along the top of the tunnel and through the bulkhead to the linkage. would it involve a lot of work to adapt the gear selectors, or would i be better adapting the exhaust ?
sorry for the long thread.
