I know that the 20xe camshafts is very good from factory. But, if you want more bhp is beter to change them. Is anyone had fitting
the kent cams ast1612 with duration 262 degrees and 10.5 valve lifting? For other people i 've heard that are very good for 20xe engines because the duration is not much more than vaux cams and you don't loose low end torque. But the middle and high end torque is increased impresive because the valve lift is 10.5 from (9.5 factory 20xe cams) and the engine accelarate more freely in high rpms because the duration is increased to 262 degrees than 255 degrees. With a superchip or unichip with a safe rev limiter at 7200rpm, a power cap, a modified throttle buterfly (from kangarooing), a drilled airbox with aftermarket filter and a good stainless exhaust system with a racing cat you have a 30 - 35 more bhp.
1.With all these modifications but without the kents how much increased the bhp than factory performance (150bhp)?
2. Is it better to put kent camshafts or piper?
3.Did anyone knows if the c20xe engine with distributor less and bosch motronic 2.8 M has the sameone cams with the older engine (with dizy cap, motronic 2.5)?
