What engine to use?

Right, my apprentice's corsa has took the knock it is one of those 1.0 3cyl jobbies in a 04 plate corsa. We cant get i direct replacement any where.

What i need to know is what other cors engines will mate to the box? I havent even looked at it for him yet. Do these have FBW or a conventional throttle wire? I was thinking of a 1.4 or summit like that. I pressume these can be sourced fairly cheap these days.

So to sum up

Will a corsa 1.4 or any other engine mate to the 1.0 box? Recommendations?

What will i need?

Engine mounts? Exhaust? Ecu, Transponder? Key chip?
