I know this could be the hot potato on MIG in the near future and I think it's quite overlooked by some.
I never, ever do the maximum speed my car is capable of, it's too risky, too dangerous and a little pointless. I get most of my kicks from initial acceleration and quick A-road driving.
Therefore I was thinking about changing the gear ratios on my car to give better acceleration and maybe midrange over a top end I never see.
Is this a viable move on standard induction? I mean.. will the gains be worthwhile or noticeable if I don't have lary power?
I'd consider a fast road car with different gear ratios, if 180bhp was achievable with the SFI setup (maybe powerbox) I'd also look into raised rev limit and different cams.
What do you think?
