I now find myself in the position where I have a new(ish) clutch kit to fit to my car, and along with it a lightened flywheel.
So the box has to come off. I also need to change the ball-joint rubbers and the drop-link is perished, so I may as well remove the strut too. I am hoping this will make it easier for me as I will be doing this on my own.
So question time.......
- Do I also need to remove the track control arm to make enough room?
- Do I need to pull the input shaft, if I don't will it be easier/harder?
- Is it worthwhile changing the crankshaft oil seal whist the flywheel is off, "just in case" I would hate to have to do it all again if it is perished or worn.
- I need to shorten the wheel-ends of my drive shafts so my center caps will fit. Is there anything I sould do to protect the threads as I would hate to find I can't get the nuts back on afterwards.
