hey everyone i have early c20xe in my corsagsi n have two electrical plugs tht arent gettin used one is for air intake temp? do i need this or not. and the other plug sits around the gearbox side nt a clue wt its for. also i have noticed that the temp gauge on my car hardly moves when car is running any ideas why this is?
ok i will put pics up tomorrow yes its got thermostat. never really felt radiator to be honest. i just dnt understand it because the needle does move but it hardly gets to 90. yeah wire is ok
could it have a cool running thermostat? 86' but should get hot in this weather tho. Does it have strong antifreeze mix because that acts as a coolant also? As long as its not losing water, not mixing, rad gets hot top and bottom and the fan cuts in and out I wouldnt worry too much.
yeah i wondered if it had cool runnin stat in it. how would i check this? i dnt no history of engine aswell. has 50/50 mix of anti-freeze n water. not loosing water or mixing. i shall check radiator tomorrow. and fan has never cut in on it yet. fan does work though
if you remove the thermostat housing and take thermostat out it will have stamped on in tiny letters the temp rating wich it is. the cooler running ones ive had ran at 82 as oposed to standard 92 degrees.
Is the plug near the gearbox grey? Think it's 6 or 8 pinned I'm not sure.
if it is, it's not connected in mine either it wasn't connect with old old engine in either but runs
so if i get an air temp sensor will tht put my management light off? cs all wires are fine as i checked n fixed loom b4 i fitted it
