What makes you think that Vauxhalls critera when designing it was the same as ours is now? SFI (sequential fuel injection) has very little power benefit, infact some performamance chips do away with it for simplicity without penalty, it's there to reduce emissions, and the SFi box will also be designed with this in mind. Power isn't always their prime concern, look at how they sacrificed 14BHP for the ecotec engine.Originally posted by Barnes
i thought the sfi box was designed to be a certain size for a certain reason. if this rubber elbos is so good then why wernt they on as std? there muct be some obvious advantages of the sfi box otherwise vauxhall wouldnt have gone into the trouble of desigining it, making it and fitting it on the engines for around 6 years..
i really, in all honesty cannot see how that can in any way give more bhp, as the same amount of air is passing throug the afm, surely fuel+air+spark = bhp, so if no more air or fuel is going in how is it gaining 10bhp?
