Replacing it yourself - is it that difficult/dodgy.
Not done one by myself and have now been put off from everyone i spoke to. Always a few posts on here about cambelt slipping this and cambelt snapped that....
Is this due to general 'not taking you time and being careful about what you are doing'?
Or is there a bit of an art to it that comes with doing a few?
Not meaning to cause a ruck or owt, its just that i really want to do mine myself (cos of bust waterpump) and was ready to tackle it with my ' it'll be alright if i take my time' and 'thats what the fun is, doing it yourself' attitude.
Anything else, i wouldn't be going on like a big girls bra about it, its just that it seems even a minute error/oversight is gonna end in a big crunch when you turn the key and everyone and his dog seems to have had/has a mate who's had a busted engine from non-professionally/non-garage fitted belt.
