Just got the Cav back with a new MOT (and 8 welding patches)
While driving, the oil light came on wahoo
Pulled over (this was after revving it hard, about to 4500 - 5000 revs) and switched off. Started again and light went out as normal, carried on. Light came on again, switched off and coasted downhill bump started drove for a bit, oil light flashed a bit. Got it home and took switch out fiddled with it a bit, realised couldn't swap with Nova as different connector, put it back in.
Anyway, I assume the switch just closes the circuit to ground, the other side of the circuit consists of the bulb and a 12v ignition switched supply.
My ideas so far are get new switch, or might be due to blocked oil filter?
I took the oil cap off and run the engine, oil sprayed out a bit, so it looks like pressure is there.
