engine swap

hiya ppl iv got a astra mk3 1.6 16v sport. does ne 1 no wether a 2L ecotec out of a vectra will go in with engine mounts out of the vectra or will i have to buy different ones? also what drive shafts would i use coz im guessin the vectra 1s would b 2 long? any help would be appreciated

they mark 3 astra has the same engine bay just about the astra cavalier, calibra and vectrra are all the same engine bay wise so practically a straight swap nearly

Gotta change looms and what not. Basically get yourself a donar car and you'll have everything you need.

You'll need 1.8 or bigger Mk3 Astra engine mounts and shafts. But the loom etc from any 2.0 engine will fit no problems.

i think there the same not sure
but saying that most of the vauxhall 1.8 and 2.0 parts are the same that why you can mix and match things
