| Xe front mount alternator, Some body gen me up please. Hi all, i'm having difficulties in fitting my dhlas to my jenvey/sbd inlet manifold, The manifold makes the carbs sit very low, so low in fact that the alternator is right in the way. I't have to be dropped down a fair bit, now this is my problem cos there's not enough room on my nova chassis leg to drop it that much. So i've decided that a front mount alt would be the best all round solution.
I've never seen any up close pics though, so does anyone have any? Also which alt is used in this conversion?
Cheers in advance!
(this shows how much it's in the way by!) |

| Re: Xe front mount alternator, Some body gen me up please. There are some piccies on here some where a guy did it on his nova and I'm funked if I can remember his name! Ask on here as I'm sure he's on there alot. You could also search for electric power steering coversions to find his nova (white stripped caged valver on boddies with leccy power steering) Chip and co will remember his name.
Nice bloke I bought some stuff years ago lives in Wallsaw or summat.............damn my brain I can't remember his name...

| Re: Xe front mount alternator, Some body gen me up please. Karl Rowntree also devised a fr mount alternator on his twin Weber'd Nova valver.
I'll see if there are any pics anywhere.
