Hi everyone,
I was planning to make a c20let swap into an astra mk2, nowdays I have the engine opened and I'm doing "good things" for engine health .
I bought the engine in a poor exterior status, but fortunately interiorly is all in very good condition. The problem is the amount of parts I miss, like oil hoses, wiring, etc etc etc.
In this point, when I will finish the c20let, I'll change it for a c25xe, because it is the swap I've always wanted to do.
After this introduction, let's go for the questions:
- First of all, my idea is to arrange the f28 gearbox I own, I've found some information here, and it seems the only things to do is the FWD kit, the rear mounting (no problem), and re-drill the flywheel (flywheel that will be lightened)...
- Maybe the problems will come in the other side, because I imagine that right engine mount must be done and enginereed by me... The idea is not to displace the gearbox to avoid problems with shafts and gearbox linkage. But this side is the most worrying...
- The upper anti-torque mounting is not too much problem, welding and imagination can do something right here!
- Anyone can tell me if I'm forgiving something? I'm sure that I am... by now, I'm looking for info...
Thanks for your attention, and I'll keep you informed.
Greets.
