Having cleaned out my ICV ('94 2l 16v ecotec) my idle is still high.
I have found that the manifold connection (which the small cam cover breather hose is connected to) is blocked and it is proving difficult to unblock. I've tried a short piece of coathanger wire and pipe cleaner but it still won't clear.
Does anyone have any idea how to unblock it??
I am thinking of removing the inlet manifold to clear it out and maybe clean the whole unit up. Is it difficult to remove the manifold with the engine in situ??
Use a screw. 'screw' it in and pull it out.Clean the thread off and repeat.
Get some carb cleaner, attach the straw to the nozzle, stick the straw into the throttle body connection (I presume that's the one you mean) and squirt away (engine not running).
Remove the air intake from the throttle body and you should be able to see the carb cleaner coming through. (hold throttle open I think).
