I went for another visit to Matts yesterday to do some headwork for me. Matt very very kindly left work early and we got started at about 6...hold on... when I say we I mean Matt lmao.... anyway 6 hours, a few cans of coke and a pizza later the job was done. Matt took quite a bit out of the exhaust side and improved the flow in the inlet side.
Also I took the intake casting that sits on top of the inlet manifold with me as it was clearly indeed of the "Animal touch". About 30 mins later and it was looking top notch. There were some horrible casting marks in there as well, all of which got "the chop", ooh er Mrs.
Anyway, I have most of the parts now and have been assembling the rods and pistons today. Tomorrow my bearings and gaskets should come from SBD and then the fun can begin.
Matt has been a huge help and source of knowledge for me, there is so much that I thought I knew but infact hadn't even scraped the surface.
Does anyone have any final points that I should take note of when rebuilding my B-to the L-to the O C K?
